Our Mission at Space Cowboy Books
At Space Cowboy Books our mission is to spread the love of science fiction, literature, literacy and print media. We sell used and new books, publish SF paperbacks, produce Simultaneous Times Podcast, and host all kinds of literary events and film screenings.
We opened in January of 2016 and have since hosted scores of events, published a handful of paperbacks and chapbooks, and produced dozens of audio plays and interviews for our podcast. You can hear recordings of some of our live events here…
Community Minded
We always have free books for kids under fourteen at the shop and we help build libraries for local schools with local non-profit Spark Growth.
And we also provide partial annual scholarships for Clarion and Odyssey speculative fiction workshops.
Space Cowboy Books is also a home for local authors. We carry tons of books by local authors and host readings and book launches on a regular basis in our beautiful outdoor amphitheater and online.
